As from standard, MQB cars come with low friction brake pads which are designed for road use and nothing more.
Below you will find a list of brake pad options which have information based on coefficient ratings and their heat range.
The higher the coefficient number, the more aggressive the pad will be. Which means the car will stop quicker, produce more heat and wear your discs down a lot faster.
Heat ranges are what they say, they are the manufacturer specified range of which the brake pad can safely operate. Anything under the temperature range means that the pads will have little to no effectiveness. Above the heat range, will mean that the pad will degrade and lose its ability to stop your vehicle. This can be a result of delamination or disintegration.
Remember; Please choose a brake pad to suit your needs, balance of your car and use case.
