With our ever growing community, new people come along and wish to know where and how to book on to Track days to join in on the fun. Insurance can be a daunting task for some and also a hassle. Below we recommend and breakdown what insurers tend to cover whilst on your track day.
Below you will find some of our recommended options for track day insurers.
Please bare in mind that most Track day Accidental Damage policies are only designed to cover damage to your car in the event you have an accident on the circuit during the course of your track day. You are more than likely covered if:
- You lost control of your vehicle and crash into the barrier, Armco or surrounding scenery.
- Another participant on your track day, crashes into you - causing damage to your car.
- You damage your vehicle by crashing into another participant.
- You suffer accidental damage (as described above) should you suffer sudden mechanical failure
Mechanical failures are more than often not covered on your track day cover and will more than likely be a cost you would need to cover yourself.
Insurance generally only will cover the chassis and body panels of the car unless you have suspension damage caused from an accident.
The above is advisal only and the insurers we recommend generally have a direct page on their website and in their terms and conditions stating direct means and cover for the policy you take out. ALWAYS, check these pages to make sure you are aware of the cover you have and will be able to claim on, in case the worst did happen during your outing.
